INSIDE ESPAÑA

LoriNeedleman-FRONTPAGELori Needleman’s: INSIDE ESPAÑA:

As an American, Lori Needleman has been living in Spain for over five years. What is Spain actually like? Why is it so diverse and, well, fun? Learn the differences between pueblos, towns and cities. See how Spain is transfixed between a great traditional culture and a promising moderna future.

Their culture has been based on strong old world religious beliefs, but today, they seem to be making changes with a new generation taking steps for equality such as passing a law that disallows Islamic women to wear burkas.

Spain has a regional autonomy system known as the “state of the autonomies,” which grants the right for the regions to govern themselves. There are 17 autonomous communities: Andalusia, Aragón, Asturias, Balearic Islands, Basque Country, Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castile and León, Castile-La Mancha, Catalonia, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid, Murcia, Navarre, La Rioja, and Valencia.

See how this nation is shaped and why it is loved by so many.  Visit lorineedleman.com to see images taken from her travels. There you will find images of architecture, literature, cathedrals, bullfighting and the variety of people from farmers, shepherds, artisans to teachers.
